Job Pay:
As main form of pay, dancers receive classes at The Conservatory for the duration of their contract ($1,3000-$2,170 value). In addition, a performance stipend is paid to Company Members at the end of their contract.
Time Commitment:
4 weekly technique classes for Company Members and Apprentices (evenings)
2 weekly technique classes for Hip-Hop Artists (evenings)
Wednesday choreography run-through (4:30-5:30pm)
Saturday morning Company class-All Dancers (9:00-10:00am)
Saturday rehearsals (10am-1pm)
Regional Tour Performances (mostly Friday & Saturday nights)
Educational Outreach Tour (various times)
Weekly Work Study at The Conservatory (Apprentices only)
Must be 18 to audition. $10 Audition Fee. Bring resume and headshot. Initial audition will consist of Ballet, Modern and Jazz techniques followed by a Hip-Hop audition (optional but highly recommended to see dancer's full movement qualities).
Dancers are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend Modern, Ballet, Jazz and Hip-Hop technique classes at The Conservatory prior to auditioning.
Casting results are posted Monday, November 8, 2010
Required classes begin November 8, 2010
Rehearsals begin November 13, 2010

Dancers are advised to read the Company contract prior to auditoning. A copy of the contract can be previewed in the 8th Street Administrative office located within The Conservatory Building (813 8th Street).
